Safety Shower & Eyewash Station Installation in Sydney
We are on call for all commercial plumbing work. We’re available 24/7 for emergencies.

Licensed Safety Shower & Eyewash Plumbing for Commercial and Industrial Premises
If your workplace needs a safety shower or eyewash station connected, The Plumbing Paramedics handles the licensed plumbing installation for commercial and industrial premises across the Hills District and Blacktown Council areas.
We can source and supply compliant equipment, or connect units you’ve already procured, and once it’s in, we can keep your facility on a maintenance schedule to stay ahead of compliance requirements.
Commercial Plumbing We Handle
We handle the full plumbing side of safety shower and eyewash station installations:
- Safety shower and eyewash station supply and installation — we can source compliant equipment or work with what you’ve specified
- Thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) supply and installation for tepid water supply
- Cold and hot water pipework runs to the unit location
- Pressure testing and flow rate verification to AS 4775 requirements
- Compliance documentation on completion
- Ongoing plumbing maintenance to keep your facility compliant between WHS audits
If you’re not sure what equipment you need, we can advise on compliant models and spec up the plumbing works before you commit to a unit. If you’ve already purchased equipment or had it specified by a WHS consultant, we work from that spec.
Need a Plumber You Can Rely On?
We’re available 24/7 across Sydney, ready to tackle any plumbing job—big or small.
Count on fast response times, licensed professionals, and upfront, honest pricing with no hidden surprises.

What Sydney Locals Say About Us
Workplaces We Work With
Safety shower and eyewash plumbing comes up across a wide range of commercial and industrial premises in the Hills District and Blacktown areas. Common environments include:
- Manufacturing and industrial facilities — chemical handling, surface treatment, anodising, paint lines, battery storage, and similar operations in Blacktown, Kings Park, Arndell Park, and Wetherill Park industrial precincts
- Laboratories and R&D facilities — including commercial laboratories and testing facilities across Norwest Business Park and Castle Hill business precincts
- Automotive workshops — where chemical exposure risk triggers a SafeWork NSW requirement for emergency wash facilities
- Warehousing and logistics — facilities handling Class 6, 8, or 9 dangerous goods or industrial cleaning chemicals
- Food and beverage production — processing facilities using cleaning chemicals, caustic solutions, or sanitisers
- Schools, universities, and training facilities — science laboratories and trade training centres requiring compliant emergency wash facilities
- Construction fitouts — where a new commercial tenancy or change of use triggers a WHS requirement for emergency wash facilities as part of the build
If SafeWork NSW, your WHS officer, an insurer, or a building certifier has flagged a requirement for emergency wash facilities, the connection work must be carried out by a licensed plumber.

Why the Plumbing Has to Be Done Right
A safety shower or eyewash station is only as good as the water supply behind it. AS 4775:2007, Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment — sets specific performance requirements that live or die on the quality of the plumbing installation:
- Tepid water supply: Units intended for prolonged flushing require water delivered at 16°C–38°C. That means a correctly sized and installed thermostatic mixing valve — not a cold-only line that a worker won’t stay under for 15 minutes in a chemical exposure emergency
- Flow rate: A safety shower must deliver a minimum 76 litres per minute. An eyewash station requires a minimum 1.5 litres per minute across both nozzles simultaneously. These figures depend on supply pipework being correctly sized
- 15-minute duration: The system must sustain continuous operation for at least 15 minutes under normal building water pressure — your supply line and TMV must support this
- Location: AS 4775 requires the unit to be reachable within 10 seconds of the hazard area. Where the compliant location requires new pipework runs through walls, floors, or plant rooms, that’s our work
An undersized pipe, an incorrectly set TMV, or a supply line that drops pressure under sustained flow aren’t just compliance failures — in a real emergency, they matter.
What the Process Looks Like
We start with a site visit to assess water supply access, pipework routing, the intended unit location relative to the hazard area, and whether a TMV is required. From there we provide a written quote covering all plumbing works.
If you haven’t finalised equipment yet, we can advise on what the plumbing needs to support before you confirm your unit selection — flow rate requirements, connection type, and whether your existing supply can meet AS 4775 demands without remedial work.
Once installation is complete, we provide plumbing compliance documentation. The weekly activation checks and ongoing maintenance programme can be set up at the same time.
